Description
The Nemo-S is a bidirectional marine data relay developed for sea level platforms, ships, and autonomous surface vehicles. Rated for ocean surface use only, the Nemo-S serves as a communications link between an end user and their oceanographic devices. The ability to relay data to and from your remote equipment is a valuable resource to enhance any oceanographic activities. Using Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) communication, sending commands to your equipment or relaying important data recorded at sea has never been easier.
While its primary function is to relay data, the Nemo-S also acts as a recovery beacon in the case of emergency. While at the surface, the beacon acquires its GPS position and passes the coordinates via Iridium back to the user in real time. The data relay and recovery beacon combination makes the Nemo-S a valuable asset when completing oceanographic research.
