Description
The OceanSense Buoy is a fully autonomous, solar-powered monitoring system designed for continuous, real-time oceanographic and water quality monitoring. Built around the WiMo multiparameter sonde from nke Instrumentation, OceanSense can measure up to 20 critical water parameters from a single integrated platform.
Designed for coastal, environmental, aquaculture, desalination, and research applications, OceanSense combines advanced multiparameter sensing with durable maritime engineering to deliver reliable performance in demanding marine environments. The WiMo sonde provides a modular smart sensor platform with plug-and-play sensors, automatic sensor recognition, embedded web configuration, high internal storage capacity, and multi-platform communication.
OceanSense enables precise monitoring of essential parameters such as sea surface temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, chlorophyll, turbidity, CDOM/FDOM, conductivity, pressure, total dissolved solids, and other key indicators of marine and water quality conditions. The WiMo sensor suite supports a broad range of digital smart sensors, including conductivity, turbidity, oxygen concentration, oxygen saturation, fluorescence, pH, redox/ORP, nitrate, ammonium, chloride, and calculated parameters such as salinity, depth, sound velocity, specific conductivity, and total dissolved solids.
With real-time data transmission through GSM/4G or satellite networks, OceanSense provides continuous access to critical water quality and oceanographic data while reducing the need for frequent manual servicing. The OceanSense system is available in multiple configurations and is designed to support diverse monitoring needs, from operational monitoring and environmental compliance to coastal water management and maintenance optimization.
