Introducing the Apollo-X

We are excited to announce the release of a new and improved version of our flagship Apollo beacon - the Apollo X! The new Apollo X line of Iridium/GPS/LED flasher beacons features an updated set of electronics and firmware that improves operational efficiency to extend battery life for long-term deployments. 

Although this is a significant change, longtime users of the Apollo beacons will be happy to know that the command interface and operational logic are unchanged, so there will be no requirement to learn a new sensor. Externally, the Apollo-X line of beacons is unchanged and still comes in the same titanium glass enclosure and power configurations, albeit with new names.
